Wicca is a pantheistic pagan mystery religion. Mostly duotheistic, we honor two supreme deities: The dual Horned God of the greenwood, lord of animals, the sun and the shadowland; and his bride, the triple Goddess of the Moon and stars, the earth and sea.
We revere Nature as sacred, celebrate lunar and solar/seasonal cycles, perform rituals and practice magic. Spiritual evolution may occur over many lifetimes. The Wiccan God and Goddess each have many aspects, and Wiccans may honor various other deities, too.
Diverse sects or "trads" of traditional Wicca include: Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Majestic, Cymmry, Protean, Georgian, Blue Star, WhiteCroft, Roebuck, Stregheria, etc. To be a Wiccan requires no formal training, but traditional Wicca advocates in-depth coven training and initiation as requirements for Wiccan clergy.
Our focus is Traditional Wicca in its core essentials; but we're open to all friendly Wiccans and pagans, new age, shamanic and magical folks. We discuss Wiccan theology, spirituality and ritual practice; also general pagan/magickal topics, like ancient pagan religions, neopaganism, witchcraft, shamanism, polytheistic pagan theologies, myth, ritual, etc.
Some ideas for discussion:
Wiccan spirituality and theology, the Horned God and the Moon Goddess, duotheism and/or polytheism, gender polarity, magical theories, magic vs. religion, how Wicca differs from other kinds of pagan witchcraft, etc.
Also feel free to bring books or tarot cards, or any other topic of interest you would like to discuss. Read more
